This sign took both crowds by surprise, but it sure hit home.

It refers to the Times Higher Education report that ranked the top 500 universities in the world. And yes, ok, for accuracy's sake, the banner is in error because the report actually listed Ateneo at #484, not #488.

So c'mon, folks, let's go ahead and give them the extra 4 spots they rightfully deserve =)

Ateneo was ranked #484 tied with a bunch of schools. I think #488 is the last number covered by that tie. Pinasarap lang ng konti. Hehehe!

Immediately after the release of the THES rankings, the Ateneo administration sent out a memorandum explaining the methodology used.(Of course you know what's in that memo).

Rankings talk, everybody loves it, even the people who hate it love it.

It could have been a lot easier for them to accept if they were ranked 393rd or something, but it's not just that way. Animo La Salle.
